‘At Rez13 we  create documentaries and unscripted TV about our people – the First Nations of the Okanagan Valley.

Our team combines both Indigenous and non-Indigenous talent. At the helm is our Executive Producer, Chief Clarence Louie, who has led the Osoyoos Indian Band for 36 years.

Beyond tired Indigenous stereotypes and our dark history of oppression, we shine a light on the work, hopes and dreams of our people today.

Our storytelling is set amongst the sweeping hills and lakes of the Okanagan where our roots of thousands of years lie deeply entwined with the natural world.

Our Rez13 mandate is to be authentic on every level; everything from the stills photography, graphics style, to the final production.

Who is this show for? 35-65 year olds

Everything we create with REZ13 has to resonate as being real and authentic. The stories, the writing, the locations, the mood and the subjects. On multi levels it all comes from the same DNA. Each of our subjects is authentic and the focus is on how they manage to make a difference.

Pitch to CBC Canada.

This video was a proof of concept for a pitch made to CBC earlier this year. We are building on this initial idea to deliver a product that meets all of the criteria for the networks.

Idea for footage to be shot on Nov 24.

Will is going to do a setup for us where we can shoot footage of him working with a deer and a moose.

Pitch to Indian Motorycycles regarding panel for discussion concerning keeping the name Indian MC

Time to revisit this again in light of the new production company etc. The end goal with this was to end up shooting a video for Indian Motorcycles of Louie and various other OIB members with their Indian bikes. Louie would be an ambassador and would head a tribunal of Indian Chiefs to discuss the name, perceived cultural appropriation and whether they felt the name should be kept.

Catholic Church and coverup of criminal activity

This was a proof of concept idea and basis for the original documentary on Truth and Reconciliation however since the courts had not yet found the Catholic Church guilty of the crimes, the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation panel were merely suggestions and not edicts for payment.

Monty Python questions

Bit of fun to show the other side of Chief Clarence Louie. We can build on his abiity to come up with funny material off the cuff. This was shot on an iPhone not with the good camera.
